What some fabulous weather we have been having! However, I know for some of you it has been a little too hot, and we all know the dangers of exposing our skin to the sun for too long. So, how do you get that gorgeous tanned look without the danger?

Get tanned for summer - at home
Fake tan has become more and more popular in recent years and there is a vast array of products available for you to try. A fairly new introduction to the market are products that last for just 1 day - you simply wash it off when you bathe or shower. But for all that effort, why not make it last longer?
So how do you get a great effect at home?
- Exfoliate thoroughly before hand
- Add moisturiser or body lotion to particularly dry areas that tend to "grab" colour such as ankles, knees and elbows
- Wash hands thoroughly after applying - they tend to go orange very quickly if not!
- Experiment with different tans until you find the right one for you
- Keep moisturising every day to maintain the colour

No matter how hard you try, or how experienced you are, it is still difficult to achieve a streak free tan when you apply it yourself.
In which case, why not try one of my fabulous fake tan treatments?
St Tropez - one of the most famous tanning brands, this is a very popular treatment. The stress free alternative - no need for you to prepare as I use body polishers to exfoliate your skin, followed by the tan. The treatment is topped off with buffing to even out the colouring, leaving you with a great tan. Simply leave for 5 hours, shower off and hey presto a great tanned look!
Sienna X - this is my new secret weapon! Sienna X is used by TV programmes Strictly Come Dancing and How to Look Good Naked. This is a spray tan applied in less than 20 minutes. The tan dries quickly and then you leave it for 8 hours before washing off. A fantastic natural looking tan and no hassle!
With either treatment I always advise you keep moisturising at home to maintain your colour for as long as possible.
